What He Built

Rammesium

The Rammesium is a memorial/temple built by Ramses II. He was very egotistical

so the memorial had many 56ft statues of himself and two statues of him seated.

FUN FACT: When his monuments had other people in it (such as family and friends)

they would be a lot smaller than his statues.

Temples of Abu Simbel

The temples of Abu Simbal were two twin temples built by Ramses II. They were in

honor of his reign and his queen Neferari. They're located near lake Nasser in Egypt.

Pylon of Ramses II

The Pylon is the entrance to a temple with two Ramses IIs sitting in a chair on oppisite

ends of the door way. In Greek Pylon means entrance of an Egyptian temple. He created

this for rememberance of his influence of military, religion and politics.
